We wanted to use one adjective to describe Mitchell's and we simply couldn't. How do you encapsulate so many memories in a short amount of time?

Mitchell's opened  in the fall of 2006, and since then, we've had countless good times — St. Patrick's Day; Half-way to St. Patrick's Day; Chicago White Sox crowds; Cubs-White Sox rivalries; bag tournaments; chili cook-offs; barbecues; golf outings and numerous Super Bowls.

We celebrate every Thursday like itʼs Friday and every Friday like it's New Year's. On Tuesday you might hear country and classic rock, but Kanye West and Beyonce on Fridays.

There's always a new face — and a familiar one too. You might see IIT students sharing a pitcher of Pabst Blue Ribbon on a weekday or a couple on a weekend date, sipping velvety Grey Goose martinis.

Mitchell's has a spacious outdoor, brick patio that has become the perfect compliment during baseball season. Inside, the pub is fashioned with warm amber tones and deep dark wood throughout, accompanied by black-and-white photos hung on the wall. There's a 30-foot bar, and several tables adjacent to the wall where groups can get the perfect view of the game on one of our five plasma-screen televisions.

We pour a Guinness better than just about anyone in Chicago — frothy head with sharp black body — and take pride in our 40-plus selections of beer.  You need to try our Washington Apple and Blue Dolphins shots. The Jager Machine is always buzzing with activity.

Mitchell's is located at 3356 S. Halsted just a few blocks west of U.S. Cellular Field, tucked in one of the oldest most historic communities in Chicago, called Bridgeport. We celebrate our Chicago identity and its people.

And every day there's a new adjective to embrace the joy we've experience in the short time we have been open.

If you're thirsty, we'll see you there.
